Every plan ships with a crew of AI teammates included in the base price. The paid plans can then hire more, billed a simple monthly rate per teammate. This article has all the numbers.
What your plan includes

Two rules worth knowing:
- The level list applies to your whole team, included crew and hires alike — Lead and Director are what Scale buys you, on every seat.
- Your included teammates cost nothing extra, whatever their level. Billing only starts with teammates beyond your included crew.
How to hire
- Go to Your team → Roster and open the Agents tab.
- Choose Assign agent and pick a role from the catalogue. Roles above your plan's level show as available on a higher plan.
- Set their scope, and optionally a schedule and a monthly spend cap.
- Done — they appear on your team like any teammate, and their first work lands in Approvals.
You can also hire straight from a Health Check recommendation — the role arrives already pointed at the pillar that needs it.
Adding teammates beyond your crew
On Growth and Scale, teammates beyond your included crew are billed monthly by their level:

Added teammates are billed monthly on their own invoice, whichever cycle your plan is on. Retire a teammate at any time — from Your team → Roster → Agents, via Manage → Retire teammate — and the charge stops with them, with the unused part of the month credited. Your current crew, who is included versus added, and the running total are always visible in Billing.
Humans are always free
People never cost extra — only AI teammates are billed. Each plan caps how many humans can be in the workspace (you included): 3 on Free, 4 on Growth, 6 on Scale. An AI teammate never uses a human seat, and a human never uses an agent seat. Inviting people is covered in Your team and roles.
